A Lange & Sohne Watches
Lange & Sohne produce a relatively small amount of watches each year. The manufacture output of the Lange & Sohne watches is due to the great investment in craftsmanship and also the passion in which the master watchmakers hand finish every detail
Founded in 1845 near Dresden, Germany by Ferdinand Adolf Lange, A. Lange & Sohne has had a rather turbulent history with their workshops bombed in World War II and the company seized by the communist regime in 1947.
Though it seemed to have become a legend for the next forty years, in 1990 the traditional trademark of A. Lange & Sohne was re-registered worldwide.
Created in the usual high standards of their
earlier generations of pocket watches, A. Lange & Sohne watches bear the
same complexity and perfection of former days. Lange 1 is probably the symbol
of Lange’s artistry and precision these days and the most highly acclaimed of
their mechanical wristwatches. The Datograph is another superb technical
masterpiece with a fly-back feature, precise minute counter and outsize date.
For scientific measurements and navigational purposes, the splendid Richard
Lange observation watch is the best choice.
