Harry Winston Watches
Harry Winston is known for The Premier Diamond Company he founded in 1920 in New York and has often been referred to as ‘The King of Diamonds’ due to his marvelouspieces which are counted among the most famous diamonds and jewels in the world. His son Ronald founded in Geneva ‘Harry Winston Ultimate Timepieces’, the watch-making branch of the well-known Harry Winston jewelery firm and brought out the first collection of watches in 1989, after the death of his father.
In 2001, ‘Harry Winston’ created a fantastic collection of complication watches entitled Opus I (with features like: two time zones with resonance chronometer, constant force tourbillon, five-day power reserve automatic), followed by Opus II a year later. In 2003, Opus III was created (with hours, minutes and date on some rotating discs which can be seen through portholes).
The year 2004 brought Opus IV (with minute repeater, moon phases and date on reversible dials) and the next year - Opus V (with an interesting three-part rotating system). His best collections are Avenue and Signature 7, considered simply breath-taking.
