Cartier Watches
The birth of the Maison Cartier took place in 1847 when Louis-Francois Cartier took over the jewelery workshop at 29 Rue Motorgueil, Paris, from Adolphe Picard. By 1910, two branches had been opened in London and New York by Jean-Louis’ brothers.
Proclaimed ‘Jeweler of Kings and King of Jewelers’ by the Prince of Wales in 1902 and made the official supplier for the Court of England in 1904, Cartier still impose their simple, elegant designs and greatly influence the entire contemporary watch industry.
In 1911, the most celebrated Cartier creation was born: the mystery watches, with their hands that appear to float in space. The numerous later variations of the series, the ‘chimera’ and the ‘portico’ models which look like a distant imitation of the Buddhist temples continued to fascinate the world with their unique elegance and style.
Santo’s Chronograph Men’s watch, Cartier Panthere Ruban for Women, Pasha Men’s Automatic Chronograph Watch and other names like Tank, Roadster, Santos, Bagnoire, Tonneau and Diabolo come to enrich the exquisite Cartier collection.
The sight of a Cartier watch on the wrist gives an impression of impeccable taste and class. This is a name that is instantly recognizable as a leader in luxury goods.
